How to Clean Your Shower Head

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Before you start cleaning, you’ll need to make sure you have all the necessary supplies:

• Vinegar
• Baking soda
• Scrub brush or sponge
• Soft cloth

You can find these items at any local grocery store or department store.

Step 2: Remove the Shower Head

Start by unscrewing the shower head from the wall. You may need an adjustable wrench for this step. Once it’s detached, run hot water through to remove any dirt or debris that’s stuck inside.

Step 3: Prepare the Cleaning Solution

Mix equal parts vinegar and baking soda in a bowl to create a cleaning solution. Then, dip the scrub brush or sponge in the solution and apply it to the shower head. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

Use warm water to rinse off the cleaning solution, taking extra care not to get any of it in your eyes. After rinsing, give it one last wipe with a soft cloth to dry off any remaining moisture.

Step 5: Reattach the Shower Head

When finished cleaning, simply screw your shower head back into place.
